During the third GOP debate in Miami, the crowd began chanting President Trump’s name despite his absence from the debate, showing how much support he has in the state of Florida.
As the debate commenced, President Trump was across town hosting one of his huge rallies. While Florida voters showed big support for President Trump at the rally, they also did at the debate. According to Breitbart, Trump supporters in the audience began chanting, “Trump, Trump, Trump!” during a commercial break.
In a video clip shared on X that has gone viral, an NBC producer addresses the chanting and says, “So, that was awesome, you guys, but that’s the last time we’re gonna do that, right?” The crowd quieted down so the candidates on stage could be heard.
This just goes to show the extent to which Floridians back the 45th president, which is reflected in recent polling.
The latest poll by I&I/TIPP shows that President Trump is widening the margin between himself and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. The poll was taken between Nov. 1-3 and surveyed 1,242 voters across the nation. The results showed that President Trump is leading the Republicans with 60 percent of the votes and DeSantis is in second place with 13 percent.
The poll also shows that President Trump is leading Biden in five out of the six swing states. These states are Nevada, Arizona, Michigan, Georgia, and Pennsylvania.
