Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., made a bold move this week when she announced that she had filed privileged Articles of Impeachment against U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas.
She explained, “Yesterday, two Americans from my district in Dalton, GA were killed in a high-speed head-on collision at the hands of human traffickers smuggling illegal aliens into this country.”
According to ABC9 News, the two Americans who were killed were reportedly identified as Jose and Isabel Lerma.
They were driving a Chevy SUV in Texas when they were struck head-on by a Honda that is now suspected of facilitating human smuggling. Their report further revealed that state troopers confirmed that some of the dead passengers in the Honda were from Honduras.
Rep. Greene stated of the American couple who was killed, “They had 5 kids who will never get to say goodbye. The utter disregard for American life displayed by Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas can no longer be ignored. The time for more hearings and phases is over. Americans are getting murdered just traveling to see their families.”
The late Mr. and Mrs. Lerma were traveling to Mexico when the Honda hit their vehicle while attempting to flee the police, per the Daily Mail.
Rep. Greene said on X, “Too many Americans have been killed due to Biden’s border invasion” and called on Congress to take “action.”
“Congress needs to IMPEACH Mayorkas!” she wrote.
Since taking office in 2021, Joe Biden’s open borders policy has wreaked havoc in American communities.
President Trump explained in a recent video, “With the millions and millions of people that crooked Joe Biden has allowed into the United States through his ridiculous open borders policy, mostly young men and large numbers of terrorists—the United States is more vulnerable from inside terror attacks than at any time in its history.”
Rep. Greene’s legislation could be voted on very quickly because it was filed as a privileged resolution, which could expedite the process.
