President Trump told Fox News Digital on Wednesday that his plans to make a big announcement on Tuesday, Nov. 15, were unchanged in the wake of the 2022 midterm elections.

Trump told the outlet, “We had tremendous success. Why would anything change?”

Trump’s comments come on the heels of a successful cycle of midterm races in the general election. Although some conservative pundits were hoping for a “red tsunami” of GOP victories, the victory tally was still looking very strong on Tuesday night and getting better heading into the evening on Wednesday.

Trump told Fox News Digital: “There is a fake news narrative that I was furious — it is just the opposite. The people I endorsed did very well. I was batting 98.6% in the primaries, and 216 to 19 in the general election — that is amazing.”

Trump’s endorsement record is very impressive, and despite mainstream narratives that a “red wave” didn’t show up in the U.S. on Tuesday, the victory tally seems to indicate otherwise.

On Monday night, Trump informed rallygoers at a final Save America rally in Vandalia, Ohio, that he was planning a “very big announcement” at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, next week.

“Not to detract from tomorrow’s very important, even critical election, and I would say in the strongest way, it’s a country-saving election…I’m going to be making a very big announcement on Tuesday, Nov. 15 at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida,” he said.

Most are anticipating an announcement for a presidential bid, but until he does, his plans for 2024 are purely speculative. President Trump demonstrated with his endorsement success this midterm season that he has a considerable amount of sway over the Republican Party, with countless endorsed America First candidates winning their respective races.

In fact, on Wednesday night, the GOP was strongly positioned to take the House and was within striking distance of taking the Senate, too.

Trump optimistically told Fox News that, “All these guys that are winning are my people.”
