President Trump on Monday advised the newly minted Speaker of the House, Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., on what his first order of business should be now that the gavel has fallen under Republican control.

“Great job Kevin!” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “We must now stop Mitch McConnell and his China flagrant boss, Coco Chow. It’s as though he just doesn’t care anymore, he pushes through anything the Democrats want.”

Trump has made no secret of his distaste for Senate Minority Leader McConnell, R-Ky., and his comments come shortly after the “RINO” Republican appeared jointly with Joe Biden in Kentucky.

Per the Washington Post, McConnell joined Biden last week at a White House event in front of the Ohio River to herald a $1.6 billion federal investment in a bridge project. Many saw McConnell’s bipartisan move as yet another indicator that the increasingly tepid senator might as well just be a Democrat.

Trump continued in his statement, “The $1.7 TRILLION quickly approved Bill of the week before was HORRIBLE. Zero for USA Border Security. If he waited just ten days, the now ‘United Republican Congress’ could have made it MUCH BETTER, or KILLED IT. Something is wrong with McConnell, and those Republican Senators that Vote with him. PRIMARY THEM ALL!!!”

Previously, McCarthy was elected as the new Speaker of the House on Saturday morning, with 216 votes to confirm his victory on the 15th ballot.

“I do want to especially thank President Trump,” McCarthy stated, via RSBN. “I don’t think anybody should doubt his influence. He was with me from the beginning … he was all in…”

Following McCarthy’s victory, Trump remarked on Truth Social, “Thank you Kevin. It was my great honor!”

Whether McCarthy makes good on his vow to strongly lead Republicans in the House remains to be seen.
