President Donald Trump is holding a powerful lead in the Peach State ahead of the November 2024 general election.
According to a new poll from Fox News, President Trump has a comfortable eight-point lead over Joe Biden in Georgia, reiterating what other national polls have found recently.
This newest poll also found that Trump is leading strongly in Georgia among Independent voters, netting a whopping 20-point lead over Biden. Swing voters are often said to have a profound impact on elections, so this big lead with Independents for Trump is significant.
Another recent swing state poll from Bloomberg/Morning Consult found that Trump was up by seven points in Georgia, further solidifying the president’s lead.
With the general election just nine months away, it seems possible that Trump will continue to increase his lead in Georgia and other battleground states.
The Morning Consult poll also found that Trump was leading Joe Biden by 13 points in North Carolina, 12 points in Nevada, eight points in Wisconsin, eight points in Arizona, six points in Michigan, and three points in Pennsylvania.
In light of the positive polling for President Trump, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem (R) wrote on X, “Every day, more and more Americans are realizing that we must return @realdonaldtrump to the White House. The America First movement has incredible momentum right now. Let’s keep fighting!”
The president netted two back-to-back victories in January in the initial primary contests that kicked off the GOP primary election season. He scored a historic win in the Iowa caucuses and netted a huge win over Nikki Haley in the state’s semi-open primary election.
The next election that Trump will face in the primary is in Nevada and South Carolina in February. The only candidate who remains to challenge him is former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, and she is trailing him by a whopping 63 points nationwide.
