President Donald Trump strongly criticized Joe Biden on Wednesday night in remarks delivered in Clinton Township, Michigan, where he shared a policy platform centered on American industry and enterprise.
“But Crooked Joe Biden is back like a wretched old VULTURE trying to FINISH OFF HIS PREY,” he told the crowd of striking autoworkers at Drake Enterprises.
The president explained, “Biden’s job killing EV mandate has dictated that nearly seven percent of all cars sold in the US must be fully electric in less than 10 years.”
He joked that electric vehicles were specifically built for people “that want to take very short trips, okay?” This was a dig at the short-lived battery lives of some of the electric cars on the road today.
“I see some of these things happening – I wonder if he [Biden] has any idea that this stuff is happening,” he also commented.
The president’s appearance in Michigan comes amid economic tension in the auto industry and as Trump is strongly pursuing an endorsement from the UAW. He said, “We should not be forcing consumers to buy electric vehicles…you talk about supply chain? They’re going to destroy the supply chain. They’re forcing the truckers to go all electric.”
Trump also scorched Biden’s economic policies, slamming him for squandering American wealth and labor “to build up foreign countries that HATE US.”
