President Donald Trump continues to ride on the wave of success after the presidential debate as new polls show that he holds a wide lead over Vice President Kamala Harris among working-class voters.
According to the latest New York Times and Siena College poll, Trump is beating Harris among working-class voters by the same margin that President Joe Biden had in June, a clear sign that Harris is not doing as well as Democrats may have hoped after he stepped down.
The poll, conducted among 1,695 likely voters between September 3-6, shows Trump leading Harris by 17 points. According to the poll, 56 percent of non-college-educated voters would vote for Trump, while only 39 percent would vote for Harris.
Breitbart News reported that a poll taken days before the fateful June Biden debate saw Democrats worried about their campaign. The poll showed that 54 percent of voters would vote for him, while Biden only earned 37 percent.
According to Breitbart, prominent Democrat political scientist Ruy Texiera pointed out that Harris is performing worse than Biden among working-class voters. Texiera explained, “There’s no sugarcoating it—this is a serious problem for the Democrats. College-educated America may be delighted with candidate Harris but working-class America clearly is not.”
The New York Times and Siena College poll also asked voters, “If the 2024 presidential election were held today, who would you vote for?” A total of 47 percent chose Trump over Harris, who trailed at 45 percent.
Other recent polls also show Trump with a growing advantage over Harris. The latest Polymarket 2024 election forecast found Trump leading with 53 percent and Harris with 45 percent.
Journalist David Brody shared on Truth Social that President Trump continues to be the defender of Christian values as his popularity among white evangelical protestants continues to grow, according to a Pew Research Center poll.
