Trump delivers remarks at Republican Governor’s Association: ‘The Golden Age of America has officially begun!’

President Donald Trump delivered remarks on Thursday night to the Republican Governor’s Association, capping off a busy day of administrative progress and marking the one-month celebration of his second term in the Oval Office.

“We’re gathered tonight at a really exciting time in our nation,” Trump said.

He said he had been called by “so many big companies” who want to “beat the tariffs” that he is going to impose upon foreign-based manufacturers.

“It’s my fourth favorite word,” he said, referring to tariffs. “…God, religion, love, and then tariffs!”

The president highlighted the incredible Republican victory in November 2024. “The American people gave Republicans a historic mandate on November 5,” he said.

On Thursday evening, he also welcomed eight new Republican governors, ranging from Indiana to South Dakota.

“November 5 will go down as one of the most important days in the history of our country,” he declared.

The president said his campaign had raised over $600 million in the aftermath of the presidential election results in 2024, joking that he couldn’t spend it on a third presidential term. “I think I’ll keep going,” he remarked. “I’ll just keep bugging them.”

President Trump looked to the future – and especially the midterms in 2026. “With the help of everyone here, the Golden Age of America has officially begun,” he said.

He took a swipe at “blue states” and commented “they don’t learn.” Nevertheless, he promised to make sure every state was taken care of.

“Every day of my administration we’ll be fighting to help your state succeed and prosper,” he vowed.

The president also elevated a message of unity during his remarks on Thursday evening, looking toward a better and brighter tomorrow. “As one team, we can make our borders stronger, our communities safer, our schools better, our families happier, our citizens wealthier and our country freer, freer, freer, and more exceptional than ever before,” he said.

The president added, “We will work together and we will absolutely, without question, make America GREAT again!”
