President Donald Trump set the record straight on an issue many freedom-loving conservatives have deep concerns about: vaccine mandates.
Amid increasing vaccine mandates following FDA approval of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, Trump made it clear that he strongly believes Americans should not be forced to receive the Covid-19 vaccine.
“A lot of people feel differently about vaccines and I think mandates are terrible and I think giving it to young kids are terrible,” Trump stated during an exclusive interview with One America News Network published Monday night.
Although he acknowledged “that a lot of people feel differently about vaccines,” he later said he believes his administration “did a phenomenal job on the China virus,” except for public relations.
Emphasizing that it was his administration responsible for getting vaccines produced in record time, Trump said “I am extremely proud of what I’ve done.” He explained that what would have taken at least five years, took his administration only a matter of months.
“At the same time,” he assured that, “freedom and choice, all of those things you have to have. You can’t force people to do it.”
“You have people that for good reason, for their reasons, they don’t want to have it. I don’t think you should be forcing them,” the 45th president continued.
As vaccine mandates and other coronavirus restrictions continue to rise, President Trump has reaffirmed his commitment to opposing draconian measures that restrict personal choice and individual freedom. Although it’s unclear what will happen next under the Biden administration, Americans can be sure that Trump will continue to fight for them.
