President Donald Trump released a strong endorsement on behalf of Missouri Republican congressional candidate Dr. Bob Onder on Monday, referring to him as an “incredible voice for MAGA.”
Trump shared the glowing support in a post to his Truth Social account concerning the 3rd District of Missouri.
“Dr. Bob Onder is an incredible America First Patriot running for Congress in Missouri’s 3rd Congressional District. A highly respected physician and attorney, Bob was a delegate for us in 2016, and has been an incredible voice for MAGA and the Great People of Missouri!” Trump wrote.
“As your next Congressman, Bob will fight tirelessly to Stop Inflation, Grow the Economy, Secure the Border, Support our Military/Vets, Protect our always under siege Second Amendment, and Restore American Energy DOMINANCE,” he added.
Missouri’s primary will be held on August 6. A total of seven GOP candidates are included on the ballot, including Chadwick Bicknell, Kyle Bone, Bruce Bownman, Arnie Dienoff, Justin Hicks, and Kurt Shaefer, in addition to Onder.
Two other GOP candidates, Mary Coleman and Brandon Wilkinson, have already withdrawn from the race.
Democrats include two candidates in the district’s primary, including Andrew Daly and Bethany Mann. There are no incumbents in the race.
Trump also blasted Schaefer in his Truth Social post, referring to him as “WEAK ON MAGA.”
“His opponent, Kurt Schaefer, is WEAK ON MAGA. That’s all you have to know! Dr. Bob Onder has my Complete and Total Endorsement – He will not let you down!” he added.
Republican Blaine Luetkemeyer won the election in the district in 2022. He garnered over 65 percent of the vote in the heavily conservative district. Luetkemeyer has served as congressman for the district since winning his first term in 2012.
Trump’s support of Onder adds to a growing list of recent endorsements for the 2024 election. Onder was quick to add his thanks to Trump for the recent words of encouragement.
“Thank you, President Trump, for the honor of receiving your endorsement in the race for Congress MO03! Together, with other America First Patriots, we will Make America Great Again!” Onder wrote on X Monday.
