Trump: Harris has ‘lost’ the Catholic vote

In a Friday morning Truth Social post, President Donald Trump slammed Vice President Kamala Harris and the Democratic Party for their treatment of Catholics, which he believes will cost her dearly on November 5.

The 45th president wrote, “Kamala Harris has finally lost the Catholic vote. Her and the Democrat’s persecution of the Catholic Church is unprecedented! Her poll numbers have dropped like a rock, both with Catholics, and otherwise. What took so long?”

Trump noted that Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who recently joined forces with the Trump campaign, had been “pushing hard for Catholics to VOTE FOR TRUMP.”

He then tore into Harris for her recent media performances. “Kamala again made a fool of herself last night at a Radical Left fundraiser, and this after putting on a very Low IQ display at a FAKE NEWS CNN Town Hall. She was almost incoherent, and even host Allison Cooper, who couldn’t get her to make any sense, became agitated.”

Trump concluded his post with a quip about why many Catholics have chosen not to support Harris for president. “Kamala is DEMANDING LATE TERM ABORTION, in months 7, 8, and 9, and even execution after birth, and people aren’t buying it – and they never will. She is a Radical Left Lunatic!”

In recent weeks, Harris and her campaign have made questionable decisions and remarks that have likely contributed to her loss of support from the second-largest religious group in the country.

Following a bizarre video from the Harris campaign’s top surrogate, Michigan Democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer, that appeared to mock Catholic communion, Harris came under fire for telling rallygoers that they were “at the wrong rally” after they yelled “Christ is King!” and “Jesus is Lord!”

Just one day before the shocking remark, Harris took heat after skipping the annual Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner, a Catholic event that every presidential candidate except one has attended since the 1980s.

Republican vice-presidential candidate and Ohio Sen. JD Vance penned an op-ed in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette on Thursday, ripping Harris for her “prejudice against Catholics.”

However, Harris’ support from Catholics in swing states had dwindled even before those incidents.

An Oct. 3-8 National Catholic Reporter (NCR) poll of 1,172 Catholic voters in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin showed Trump leading Harris by five percentage points. Trump was ahead by 18 points in Wisconsin and 12 in Michigan.

Harris may have been attempting to save face during a CNN town hall event with Anderson Cooper when he asked if she prays daily. “I do pray every day. Sometimes twice a day,” Harris said.
