President Donald Trump will return to the Hawkeye State on Saturday for campaign events in Ankeny and Cedar Rapids, courting prospective caucus-goers just mere weeks away from the Iowa caucuses.

According to the Trump campaign, the 45th president will first attend a Team Trump Iowa Commit to Caucus event in Ankeny on Saturday, Dec. 2, at Whiskey River Ankeny. He is expected to deliver remarks at 1:30 p.m. ET.

Shortly after speaking in Ankeny, the president will make his way to Cedar Rapids, where he will speak at another caucus event. He is scheduled to deliver remarks at 4:00 p.m. ET at the Kirkwood Community College.

President Trump has made numerous visits to Iowa in 2023 ahead of the all-important Iowa caucuses. According to data from Arc Insights/Fields of Freedom, President Trump is holding 44 percent of Iowa GOP caucus-goers’ support ahead of Jan. 15, 2024, robustly leading the runner-up, Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., by 27 points.

According to their data, DeSantis and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley were tied at 17 percent, reducing all other candidates to single-digit support.

The president recently visited Iowa in November, where he headed to Fort Dodge for a caucus event that was, at that time, just 58 days away. His message in November heavily focused on trade, manufacturing, ethanol, and agriculture.

“I’m thrilled to be back with thousands of proud, hardworking American Patriots in the heartland of America,” he said.
