President Donald Trump did not mince words on Tuesday when he defended his impressive endorsement success record in the 2022 midterm elections. “I was 232-22 in the MIDTERM ELECTIONS, and still have to listen to DEMS, RINOS, and the Fake News explain how poorly I did (Also, 98.6% in Republican Nomination Endorsements!).”
He added that without his endorsement of Republican candidates, “the numbers would have been a disaster.”
“Same for 2018 and the CORRUPT ELECTION OF 2020…” he went on.
During President Trump’s 2024 campaign announcement speech in mid-November, the 45th president also pointed out that the midterm elections were a big success, despite the negative coverage from the legacy media. “I do want to point out that in the midterms, my endorsement success rate was 232 wins and only 22 losses – you don’t hear that from the media,” he said.
In his Tuesday statement, Trump pointed out that while Republican candidates enjoyed great victories in 2020, he was the victim of a corrupt presidential election. “…That’s because the Presidential Election was RIGGED & STOLEN!” he added.
Trump’s endorsements played a big factor in Republican success this year in taking back majority control of the House of Representatives. Per RSBN, the GOP reclaimed a majority in the midterms when Congressman-elect Kevin Kiley of California won his race.
Despite the negative press, Trump still holds a commanding lead in the polls heading into a 2024 political race. According to a recent Zogby poll, the president holds a mighty 46.8 percent lead among a field of potential Republican challengers in a hypothetical 2024 Republican primary matchup. By contrast, Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., managed to net a solid position of runner-up with 27.9 percent of support.
