President Donald Trump made it clear over the weekend that he is not “frustrated” by the Manhattan district attorney’s ongoing investigation into the case revolving around Stormy Daniels.
While speaking to the press aboard Trump Force One after his first 2024 presidential campaign rally in Waco, Texas, the president responded to a question that seemed to infer that he was “frustrated” by the case.
“I’m not frustrated by anything,” Trump replied. “What am I frustrated [about]? I just did a speech for two hours. I’m not frustrated by anything. I just had polls that came out where I’m 40 points ahead. See, this is what I hate about Fake News. ‘You seem like for two days you’re frustrated.’”
He added, “I’m not frustrated by it, it’s a fake investigation. We did nothing wrong, I told you that. Two of the most respected lawyers in the country – one wrote a letter about his client, which made him into be a liar. The other one did even more so. He went before the Grand Jury and he explained that this guy was a liar. And for you to say I’m frustrated – it’s the exact opposite. But this is Fake News – and NBC’s one of the worst at it. Don’t ask me any more questions.”
As previously reported by RSBN, the Manhattan DA’s office seemed to postpone the president’s reported potential indictment in the case with the cancellation of the Grand Jury meeting that was planned last Wednesday. Rumors have swirled that the cancellation may have been due to “dissension” within the prosecutor’s office.
On Tuesday, Trump addressed the case on Truth Social, drawing a comparison between the U.S. and “Third World countries.”
He wrote, “How do you indict an innocent man, a former very successful President who is now running and leading in the polls, that every legal scholar, and virtually every ‘hater,’ says, ‘Don’t do it, there is no case here?’ This is what happens in Third World countries which sadly, the USA is rapidly becoming!”
