Trump lauds ‘unbelievable spirit’ at Michigan audit rally

President Trump celebrated the “great” turnout at the Michigan audit rally this week where concerned citizens gathered in support of conducting a 2020 election audit in the battleground state.

The Election Integrity Force, an organization dedicated to furthering honesty in elections, on Tuesday held a rally at the Michigan state capitol in Lansing to draw attention to what they claimed is a needed audit of the 2020 election in the Great Lakes State.

Days before the event, President Trump urged his supporters to attend. Trump said, “The Voter Fraud is beyond what anyone can believe. Anyone who cares about our Great Country should attend, because unless we look to the past and fix what happened, we won’t have a future or a Country.”

And his supporters obliged him.

Following the rally,  President Trump issued a statement on his website thanking those in attendance for showing their “unbelievable spirit and knowledge of what went on with respect to voting and vote counting in the 2020 Presidential Election.”

In his statement, Trump singled out the City of Detroit which he claimed has for many years been considered “one of the most corrupt places in the United States for elections (and many other things!) had large-scale irregularities so much so that two officials, at great risk to themselves and their families, refused to certify the results, and were sadly threatened.”

Indeed, there have been questions raised about the activities surrounding how the election was conducted in Detroit.

Last December, the Michigan House Oversight Committee held a hearing into allegations of voting fraud and irregularities in the state.

The Trump campaign was represented at the hearing by his attorney and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani.

Giuliani didn’t hold back, telling the committee that the election was “a swindle, it’s a con job, it’s the theft of an election. They stole the election.”

During the hearing, Giuliani and Trump’s other attorney, Jenna Ellis, presented the committee with 200 sworn affidavits and introduced firsthand witnesses to voting irregularities—including witnesses to what transpired on election night in Detroit.

One witness who testified was a contractor for the much-maligned Dominion voting machines. The contractor, Melissa Carone, was working the polling site at the now infamous TCF Center in downtown Detroit.

Just the News reported, “Carone testified that, on Election Day, the vote tabulating machines would jam up to three times an hour. When the machines would jam, election officials were supposed to reset the count on the machines to ensure that no ballots were scanned more than once, explained the witness.

‘Instead of discarding, they were just rescanning, rescanning, rescanning. Counting ballots nine to 10 times,’ Carone said. She also said there were more than 20 tabulating machines at her ballot counting center.

The ballots were meant to be counted in batches of 50, though, Carone noted that she observed the tabulation count climb well into the hundreds multiple times throughout the day.”

Detroit was not the only city alleged to have had issues with the Dominion voting machines.

On election night, Antrim County in Northern Michigan reported results that had Biden winning the county. However, on Nov. 5, 6,000 votes were reversed and put in Trump’s column, giving Trump the county. A later audit of the Antrim County machines was conducted by Allied Security Operations Group that concluded the Dominion Voting System was “intentionally and purposefully designed with inherent errors to create systemic fraud and influence election results.”

In his statement, Trump criticized the “RINO’s in the State Senate and House, who for, whatever reason, do nothing but obstruct instead of seeking the truth.

The 45th president concluded by congratulating those who participated on “a great rally yesterday!”
