President Donald Trump hit hard on Saturday night during a special broadcast from Des Moines, Iowa, just two days before the Iowa caucuses.
He noted that Democrats were good at “cheating” and “going after” political opponents, but highlighted the potential for the 2024 election to turn things around.
“We’re going to teach them a lesson,” he said, speaking with Iowa State Attorney General Brenna Bird.
He held nothing back on Saturday, succinctly slamming former U.N. Ambassador and GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley, labeling her as a “globalist” who was working with Koch family-linked money.
“She’s not strong enough to be president, I know her very well,” he explained.
He also talked about securing the border, telling the audience that if he became president again, he would simply “go right back to what we were doing” regarding border policies.
Trump established common sense baseline policies as president, including the Migrant Protection Protocols, also known as “Remain in Mexico,” which enabled U.S. authorities to expel illegal migrants from the country while they were waiting for their immigration court date.
“We’re very proud of everything we did,” Trump said, stating that his tax cuts were even bigger than what former President Ronald Reagan had pulled off.
“When I cut the taxes to that tremendous extent…we take in much more income than we did before with a higher tax rate,” he continued.
He also called Joe Biden a “Manchurian candidate” who was compromised because of his alleged business dealings with countries like China.
