President Donald Trump took the stage at an Iowa Commit to Caucus Rally on Sunday, greeted by cheers of “USA” as he stepped up to the podium wearing a dark suit, red tie, and sparkling white and gold caucus captain hat.
The venue in Indianola was packed despite subzero temperatures in Iowa and historic freezing weather. “You have to see what’s outside!” Trump said. “We have a LOT of people here…if this is any indication, the storm has had ZERO effect [on caucus turnout.]”
The president praised the “hearty” people of Iowa for showing up big for the rally, foreshadowing what he said will be a “victory that will echo throughout the country and all around the world” on Monday, Jan. 15.
“One day from now, we’re going to WIN Iowa’s first-in-the-nation caucuses,” he declared.
The president slammed the ongoing political persecution, the left’s war on free speech and his continual legal battles amid four major indictments throughout 2023.
He remarked, “I got indicted more than the late great gangster, Alphonse Capone…I’ve been indicted four times because I said the election was RIGGED.”
In Iowa, President Trump is the favorite to win, but he has emphasized the importance of caucus turnout on Monday. “I’ve never seen spirit like we have [in 2024],” Trump said.
In Iowa, Trump has 48 percent of support among prospective caucus-goers, putting him in a historic position to sweep to victory on Monday night, the Des Moines Register’s final caucus poll found.
