President Donald Trump on Tuesday arrived on Marine One at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, where he was greeted with excited warmth and support by the U.S. Army, delivering remarks to a huge crowd of U.S. soldiers ahead of Saturday’s anticipated celebration of the Army’s 250th anniversary.

The president’s arrival was dramatically tied with a flyover of Blackhawk helicopters, soaring over the cheering crowd as the Commander-in-Chief took the stage.

“Wow,” Trump said. “…That’s a beautiful sight, and it’s a beautiful sight to be with you in a place called FORT BRAGG!”

The president praised the strength of the U.S. Army, noting it was the “best, nobody even comes close.”

He foreshadowed the epic military parade that will unfold on Saturday, June 14, in Washington, D.C., which will celebrate the Army’s birthday. It also just so happens to be President Donald Trump’s birthday.

“We’re going to celebrate on Saturday and we’re going to celebrate from now on,” Trump said, looking to America’s greatness and accomplishments.

“This year we celebrate 250 years of valor and glory and triumph [of] the greatest fighting force ever to walk the face of the earth – the United States Army,” Trump declared.

He noted that his administration recently approved the “largest budget for military operations – over $1 trillion.”

This drew huge cheers of approval from the U.S. soldiers in attendance.

“Our soldiers do not rest until they win,” Trump said.

“From June 1775 to June 2025, those foolish enough to challenge America’s army have been met with unyielding strength, unbreakable spirit, and unstoppable, overwhelming force. Time and again our enemies have learned that if you dared to threaten the American people, American soldiers will chase you down, crush you, and cast you into oblivion,” Trump continued.

The president said that America’s adversaries were deathly afraid of the United States Army, describing these critical forces as the “righteous sword of American justice and the ultimate shield of American freedom.”

“This week, we remember that we only have a country because we first had an army,” he said, noting that the existence of the U.S. Army technically predates the conception of America as an official nation.

“Every branch of the Armed Forces has played a critical role in protecting our nation, but no one has done more fighting, bleeding, and winning than the U.S. Army,” Trump added.

He expressed “undying gratitude” to the American soldier, veterans, and families, and also announced that his administration would soon be working to restore the historic names of Army bases like Fort Hood, Fort Robert E. Lee, and Fort Polk.
