Trump pressed to pick a side on Ukraine-Russia, responds: ‘I want everybody to stop dying’

FEE9N3 LAS VEGAS NEVADA, DECEMBER 14, 2015: Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump speaks at campaign event at Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino the day before the CNN Republican Presidential Debate

President Trump would not be cornered by CNN host Kaitlan Collins during CNN town hall on Tuesday night.

When pressed on which country he wants to win the Russia-Ukraine war, he replied, “I don’t think in terms of winning or losing…I think in terms of getting it settled,” adding that he simply wants the bloodshed to stop.

He reaffirmed his stance that each country has strengths and weaknesses, but ultimately, he could put an end to the war in 24 hours.

Collins pressed Trump on the same question again, to which Trump emphasized, “I want everybody to stop DYING. They’re DYING. Russians and Ukrainians. I want ’em to stop dying… and I’ll have that done in 24 hours.”

Trump has consistently promoted peace around the world, but especially in the midst of the Russia-Ukraine war that broke out under the Biden administration.

The 45th president has long held that there are things he could say to the leader of each country that would quickly end the war.
