President Donald Trump explained on Thursday in a powerful new video exactly how he would stop the deadly cartels from maintaining a foothold in the U.S. as president, solemnly pointing out that America is being “poisoned from within” by drugs and other violent crime.
“Fentanyl, heroin, meth and other lethal drugs are pouring across our wide open border, stealing hundreds of thousands of beautiful American lives,” he stated. “And it’s happening like never before in our history. Children are being left without parents, families are being ripped apart, communities are being decimated, our neighbors and fellow citizens are having their entire worlds destroyed – destroyed like nobody thought possible.”
He drew attention to the horrors inflicted by the drug dynasties, declaring that it was time for “America to WAGE WAR on the cartels.”
Trump slammed Joe Biden for siding with the cartels in this situation, stating that the drug runners were making more money than ever before, “times ten.”
Previously, Trump has scorched the Biden administration for allowing drug and human trafficking to boom big at the southern border. “The cartels and human traffickers have seen their income skyrocket,” he told a crowd of rallygoers in Mesa, Arizona, in October.
Now, as an official presidential candidate heading into 2024, Trump is laying out his hardline plan to combat the evils of America’s enemies.
Trump added that when he is president again, it will be the policy of the U.S. to take down the cartels “just as we took down ISIS and the ISIS Caliphate.”
“We will show NO MERCY on the cartels,” he went on. “Every day, drug traffickers are using the waters of our region to ship their lethal poisons to America, killing so people…in addition to restoring strong border security, I will deploy all necessary military assets, including the U.S. Navy, to impose the full naval embargo on the cartels. I did that before and it worked.”
Trump took his promises a step further, pledging to instruct the Department of Defense to make appropriate use of special forces, cyber warfare and other overt and covert actions to inflict as much damage as possible on the infrastructure of the cartels. He also promised to designate the cartels as foreign terrorist organizations.
The 45th president further added a simple but powerful warning to neighboring countries: “Either we will get the full cooperation of other governments to stop this menace, or we will expose every bribe, every kickback, every payoff of corruption that is allowing the cartels to persevere their brutal reign.”
Finally, Trump said he would ask Congress to ensure that drug traffickers and human traffickers would receive the death penalty.
