Despite Democrat-led indictments and the mainstream media’s round-the-clock negative coverage of President Trump, their efforts to stop him from winning the White House in 2024 have not halted his momentum whatsoever.
Trump’s campaign pulled in over $35 million during the second fiscal quarter of 2023, almost doubling the $18.8 million raised during the first fiscal quarter.
This brings the campaign’s combined totals of the first and second quarters to nearly $54 million in overall funds raised during the first half of 2023.
A significant chunk of Trump’s second-quarter funds came after his recent indictment that occurred due to his supposed mishandling of classified material. After he was arraigned in Miami, Trump’s campaign raised over $6.6 million.
Trump’s second quarter total, which was first reported by Politico, was reportedly confirmed by two members of Trump’s campaign team who anonymously reported the data.
Trump’s Senior Advisor Jason Miller also tweeted news of the fundraising data on Wednesday.
The figures will soon be made public since candidates have until July 15 to submit their campaign filings to the Federal Election Commission.
Trump is the first major presidential candidate of the cycle to release his second-quarter fundraising figures.
The campaign for the 45th president’s main rival, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, has not yet released any figures of how much they had raised since the governor raked in $8.2 million during the first 24 hours following his announcement in May.
Trump’s fundraising haul is yet another indication of his status as the presidential frontrunner. Despite two indictments, a slew of Democrat-led legal charges, and a growing field of primary opponents, Trump’s standing has only grown.
