President Trump has a proven track record of fighting for the American people, and on Thursday, in the wake of an unconscionable guilty verdict on 34 counts in the New York “hush money” trial, he spoke briefly with the press and punched back against presiding Judge Juan Merchan and the legal battle he is facing there.
Trump squared his jaw and fired off, “Well, this was a disgrace, this was a rigged trial by a conflicted judge who is corrupt. It’s a rigged trial, a disgrace, they wouldn’t give us a venue change. We were at five percent or six percent in this district, this area.”
He added powerfully, “The real verdict is going to be November 5th by the people and they know what happened and everybody knows what happened here. You have a Soros-backed DA and the whole thing – we didn’t do a thing wrong. I’m a very innocent man.”
Shockingly, each of the 34 counts in the Manhattan trial carries a maximum prison sentence of up to four years and $5,000. It remains to be seen how Judge Merchan will dole out sentencing.
Trump stated, “I’m fighting for our country, I’m fighting for our Constitution.”
He maintained a mission focus on the 2024 presidential election, alluding to his intention to likely appeal and continue campaigning no matter what happens. He pledged, “We’ll keep fighting. We’ll fight to the end and we’ll win because our country’s gone to hell.”
The president concluded, “We have a country that’s in big trouble but this was a rigged decision right from day one with a conflicted judge who should have never been allowed to try this case – never. And we will fight for our constitution, this is long from over.”
As reported by RSBN, Trump’s sentencing has been scheduled for July 11, 2024, just days before he is set to formally accept the Republican presidential nomination at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.
