President Trump shared some insight into the second deposition that he sat for in New York this week in the civil lawsuit brought against him by New York Attorney General Letitia James.
“An interesting day spent with the Attorney General and her representatives,” he wrote on Truth Social on Friday. “I strongly made my ‘points,’ they are IRREFUTABLE, and it is a case that should not go forward. My company and overall value is actually far stronger and higher than shown in the so-called Financial Statement.”
On Thursday, the president shared with his supporters that he would be heading back to New York just one week after being arraigned on 34 felony counts of “falsifying” business records at the behest of the Manhattan district attorney’s office.
“I built a GREAT & prosperous company, employed thousands of people, built magnificent structures all over the World, but particularly in New York, & now have to prove it to this LOWLIFE who campaigned on a ‘I will get Trump’ platform, even before knowing anything about me,” he wrote this week, ahead of his deposition.
Following the hours-long interview, Trump said on Friday that it would be an “honorable thing” for the state attorney general to drop the case. Via the Associated Press, the attorney general’s suit against Trump is centered on allegedly “false information about his net worth and the value of assets.”
“The honorable thing to do would be ‘DROP IT,’ and spend all of this time, money, and energy on fighting Violent Crime in New York,” Trump explained. “It would make a big difference, and show real strength and courage by the A.G.!”
As reported by RSBN, Letitia James is a documented political opponent of President Trump, who campaigned on a platform of politically pursuing him.
“She even assured her supporters in a campaign promise that, ‘we’re going to definitely sue him. We’re going to be a real pain in the ass,” the Trump campaign wrote in an official statement. “‘He’s going to know my name personally,’ and she claimed President Trump was an ‘illegitimate President.’”
