President Donald Trump responded to the so-called “bombshell” audio tape that was disseminated by CNN on Monday evening, calling it “another ELECTION INTERFERENCE Scam.”
On Truth Social, Trump wrote, “The Deranged Special Prosecutor, Jack Smith, working in conjunction with the DOJ & FBI, illegally leaked and ‘spun’ a tape and transcript of me which is actually an exoneration, rather than what they would have you believe.”
It is unclear at this time who leaked the audio to CNN, although President Trump clearly believes that Special Counsel Jack Smith, who is spearheading the federal investigation into the president’s handling of supposedly “classified” documents, had a hand in it.
In the audio, Trump is heard discussing an ambiguous document and information with his staff. He additionally talked about General Mark Milley in the tape.
Mainstream media’s so-called “bombshell” reveal is centered on these two sentences from President Trump: “See, as president I could have declassified it. Now I can’t, you know, but this is still a secret.”
However, Trump hit back yet again on Truth Social, calling Smith a “PYSCHO” who was “DERANGED.”
He said, “COULD SOMEBODY PLEASE EXPLAIN TO THE DERANGED, TRUMP HATING JACK SMITH, HIS FAMILY, AND HIS FRIENDS, THAT AS PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, I COME UNDER THE PRESIDENTIAL RECORDS ACT, AS AFFIRMED BY THE CLINTON SOCKS CASE, NOT BY THIS PSYCHOS’ FANTASY OF THE NEVER USED BEFORE ESPIONAGE ACT OF 1917.”
In the ongoing classified documents class, Trump was charged with 37 counts related to “mishandling” supposedly secret files that the FBI removed from his personal home, Mar-a-Lago, last August.
The president pointed out the duplicity of the justice system and Jack Smith’s investigation, asking why Joe Biden’s alleged crimes weren’t under the microscope.
“‘SMITH’ SHOULD BE LOOKING AT CROOKED JOE BIDDEN AND ALL OF THE CRIMES THAT HE HAS PERPETRATED ON THE AMERICAN PUBLIC, INCLUDING THE MILLIONS & MILLIONS OF DOLLARS HE EXTORTED FROM FOREIGN COUNTRIES!” Trump concluded.
Despite the attacks against President Trump, a new Morning Consult poll found that he was leading monstrously in their GOP primary tracker, holding a 38-point lead over runner-up Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla.
