President Donald Trump responded to the news that more classified documents had been found stored in Joe Biden’s garage in his Wilmington, Delaware home this week, advising U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland on what his next move should be.

“Merrick Garland has to immediately end Special Counsel investigation into anything related to me because I did everything right, and appoint a Special Counsel to investigate Joe Biden who hates Biden as much as Jack Smith hates me,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

During a Thursday press conference, Biden admitted that more classified documents had been found in his garage, and that he was cooperating with the Justice Department’s review of the matter, per the New York Post.

This discovery was preceded by another batch of classified material that was found at the Penn Biden Center in November 2022, as previously reported by RSBN.

The classified documents in question were allegedly taken by Biden during his time as vice president. Previously, President Trump pointed out that a vice president “cannot declassify documents, which are covered by the Federal Records Act, which is criminal and much tougher than the Presidential Records Act, which is not criminal.”

On Thursday afternoon, Attorney General Garland announced the appointment of a Special Counsel to review the Biden documents, choosing former U.S. Attorney Robert Hur to do the job.

“The Special Counsel will not be subject to the day to day supervision of any official of the department, but he must comply with the regulations, procedures, and policies of the department,” Garland noted in his statement to the press.

Per CBS, Hur was formerly appointed to the position of top federal prosecutor in Maryland in 2018 by President Donald Trump.

“I will conduct the assigned investigation with fair, impartial, and dispassionate judgment. I intend to follow the facts swiftly and thoroughly, without fear or favor, and will honor the trust placed in me to perform this service,” Hur said in a statement, via the outlet.
