President Trump ripped “Crooked Hillary Clinton’s lawyer,” the “radically deranged Mark Pomerantz” in a series of recent Truth Social posts, scorching Pomerantz’s upcoming book and deriding its “falsehoods.”
Trump wrote:
“Crooked Hillary Clinton’s lawyer, radically deranged Mark Pomerantz, led the fake investigation into me and my business at the Manhattan D.A.’s Office and quit because D.A. Bragg, rightfully, wanted to drop the ‘weak’ and ‘fatally flawed’ case. Now, Pomerantz got himself a book deal, and is obsessively spreading falsehoods about me. With all of this vicious disinformation being revealed by a ‘prosecutor,’ how can I ever be treated fairly in New York, or anywhere else? End the Witch Hunts!”
According to Newsweek, Pomerantz previously quit as the special assistant district attorney to Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg in 2022, preceding a resignation letter where the prosecutor made colorful claims of Trump’s alleged “numerous” crimes involving tax fraud and other financial violations. His comments were related to an investigation launched against Trump by the Manhattan district attorney’s office.
Trump addressed the case on Truth Social: “THE CASE HAD MAJOR ISSUES AND WAS CERTAINLY NOT A ‘SLAM DUNK!’ MARK POMERANTZ. THE BIGGEST PROBLEM THEY HAD WITH THE ‘CASE’ IS THAT I DID NOTHING WRONG!”
Pomerantz is set to release a book titled, “People vs. Donald Trump: An Inside Account.”
“The Mark Pomerantz book absolutely KILLS the Fake ‘Case’ against me which had been looked at by the Manhattan D.A.,” Trump stated, addressing the book. “I actually believe that I will be treated fairly, and that the many lies and innuendos made by disbarred & discredited witnesses have FAILED.”
In a recent interview with “60 Minutes,” Pomerantz made bold allegations regarding the investigation of Trump’s financial status, stating, “His empire was built on lies. I am saying that.”
President Trump, however, is confident that the justice system will vindicate him again. He continued, “Even the head of the Major Economic Crimes Unit quit because she didn’t want to prosecute me based on the weak evidence and also, I hear, the Statute of limitations, which has long ago expired. This is why Cy Vance never brought it. Thank you!”
