President Donald Trump hinted that “the time is coming” for his decision to be announced regarding another potential presidential campaign in 2024.
When asked when he would make an announcement, Trump told Fox News at CPAC, “It’s certainly not a very long period. The time is coming. I think people are going to be very happy, our country has never been in a position like this, we’ve lost everything.”
Trump saw his poll numbers jump by 10 percent during last week’s CPAC’s straw poll vote, giving him a massive lead against other Republican leaders, with 69 percent of respondents indicating they would support a 2024 campaign.
The 45th president’s long-awaited announcement concerning a 2024 run for the White House will undoubtedly impact the decisions of other possible Republican candidates. According to Fox News, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, said he will “wait and see what Donald Trump decides and then make decisions from there.”
Based on last week’s poll numbers, Trump would have a strong chance of securing the GOP nomination in 2024 as the MAGA movement continues to dominate the Republican Party.
Trump told the crowd at CPAC that after “winning” the 2020 election, he “may have to do it again.” Trump emphasized that his love for America and for the American people make it impossible for him to stand by and watch the Democrat Party push its damaging agenda.
“Our country has never been at a worse point,” Trump said. “They gave away $85 billion worth of equipment, dead soldiers, you still have Americans over there probably as hostages, eventually will be hostages, there has never been a time like this.”
While the 45th president still has declined to reveal his official decision about 2024, he told Fox News, “We’ll be making an announcement in the not too distant future.”
According to the New York Post, Trump has already made his decision. Recently, he said, “In my own mind, I’ve already made that decision, so nothing factors in anymore. In my own mind, I’ve already made that decision.”
