President Trump touted the success of Truth Social on New Year’s Eve, declaring that it was doing “unbelievably well” at the close of 2022.

His comment came in response to an article from the DC Enquirer, which shared that the New York Times reported last fall that the free speech platform had grown significantly in the face of stiff competition.

The subtitle of the New York Times’ article stated of Truth Social, “The right-wing social network faces two federal investigations and an uncertain financial future. But it has still managed to outpace its rivals.”

While the left-leaning news agency was forced to admit that Trump’s platform has been a huge hit with proponents of free speech, Trump himself has previously pointed out that the site has a competitive edge over other social media platforms on the global stage.

Evidence of Twitter’s deeply-rooted collusion with federal agencies is a stark contrast to Truth Social’s foundational dedication to free speech.

After SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk sealed the deal to take over Twitter in 2022, Trump acknowledged the leadership shift at the company while highlighting the efficiency of the Truth Social interface.

Via RSBN, Trump wrote in October, “TRUTH SOCIAL has become somewhat of a phenomena. Last week it had bigger numbers than all other platforms, including TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, and the rest. It also looks and works better to my eye.”

In December, new Twitter owner Elon Musk released a series of “Twitter Files” to the world, revealing evidence of shocking collusion between federal agencies at the social media giant to censor and suppress Trump, along with dissenting political voices.

The revelations from the Twitter Files have further highlighted the importance of Truth Social’s dedication to free speech. Trump’s platform is also the only platform where the 45th president personally posts content, driving conservative traffic and proponents of the America First movement directly onto Truth Social’s site.

In November 2022, Trump told Fox News Digital that he was committed to remaining exclusively on Truth Social. “I am staying on Truth,” he stated. “I like it better, I like the way it works, I like Elon, but I’m staying on Truth.”
