President Trump will soon fly west to the Golden State for a fundraiser in the heart of San Francisco, California, raising money for his campaign in perhaps one of the “bluest” cities in the nation.

Information from the reported fundraiser and reception was shared online this week, revealing that David Sacks and Chamath Palihapitiya will be hosting the event, which is rumored to cost up to $500,000 per couple. VIP attendee tickets are listed at $50,000 each.

According to Reuters, the event is scheduled for June 6. Some have wondered if billionaire Elon Musk may be in attendance, although this is an unconfirmed rumor.

Trump’s decision to fundraise in San Francisco – the nation’s most well-known Democrat stronghold – shows his continued commitment to refuse to count out blue states in his 2024 reelection bid.

His strategy has proven to be a winning one. In April, the Republican National Committee and the Trump campaign announced that they had out-fundraised Joe Biden’s campaign by tens of millions of dollars, per RSBN.

The GOP raised over $76 million in April, far surpassing Biden’s $53 million. This sudden uptick in fundraising for Republicans comes amid two very important factors.

First, the RNC is now under new leadership. With Chairman Michael Whatley, Co-Chair Lara Trump, and Chief of Staff Chris LaCivita leading the charge, the GOP is raking in more money than ever as Republican voters’ faith in the party is born anew on the heels of Trump’s landslide nomination victory.

Second, Trump’s campaign fundraising is being fueled by the multiple legal challenges that he is facing in court. In fact, Chairman Whatley revealed last month that every day Trump sat in court during the Manhattan criminal trial, he raised more than $1 million. The majority of those donations have been “small dollar” donations made online.

Per Axios, the upcoming San Francisco fundraiser is the “crown jewel” of Sen. J.D. Vance’s, R-Ohio, reported efforts to convince Silicon Valley heavy hitters to put their financial support behind Trump’s reelection bid this year. Vance is reportedly close with billionaire Peter Thiel, among other tech-country high rollers.
