President Donald Trump is set to speak in Columbia, South Carolina, at the Black Conservative Federation Gala, which is themed “Restoring the American Dream.”

The 45th president will be the keynote speaker, according to the group’s official statement on the event. Retired neurosurgeon and conservative thought leader Dr. Ben Carson will also be honored during the event, along with Mary Millben and C.J. Pearson.

The BCF announced:

“This year’s speakers and honorees are nothing short of incredible and deserving of recognition. Our special guest, The Honorable President Donald J. Trump, is sure to energize the audience as we head into one of the most important election seasons in our nation’s history. We couldn’t be more excited to have him.”

The gala will take place on Friday, February 23, between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. ET at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.

“This gala serves as a platform to honor individuals who have made remarkable contributions to the conservative movement, showcasing their achievements and positive influence,” the BCF stated.

Dr. Ben Carson is set to receive the BCF’s “Lifetime Achievement Award” during the gala.

The esteemed neurosurgeon has remained a close and trusted ally to President Donald Trump. Previously, Carson served as the U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development during the 45th president’s first term in the White House.

Carson has endorsed President Trump’s 2024 reelection bid and campaigned for him this year as the nation’s GOP primaries continue.

Carson is also rumored to be on President Trump’s shortlist of potential vice-presidential running mates in 2024.

As reported by RSBN, Carson recently dodged the question of whether he had discussed the possibility with Trump. He said, “I don’t want to talk about what we’ve talked about, but we’ve talked about what we can do to save this country and that we will work together to make sure that America remains America.”
