President Trump took a swipe at “Birdbrain” Nikki Haley, who once claimed that she would never run against Trump for president in the same election cycle.

The president slammed Fox News on Truth Social, writing, “FoxNews should look at these numbers before doing their Fake News reports on Birdbrain. What a joke they are!”

Attached to his post was a screenshot of a Harvard/Harris poll showing Trump with a whopping 67 percent of GOP primary support nationwide, while the rest of the Republican field of opponents sank to single-digit support.

Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., descended to just nine percent of support in their poll, and Haley, who once served as the Republican Governor of South Carolina, snagged the third spot with eight percent.

Morning Consult’s newest data tracking the 2024 GOP primary race showed similar results, illustrating Trump’s dominant 64 percent of support among Republican voters across the country. In their poll, DeSantis snagged the second spot with 14 percent of support.

A new poll from McLaughlin & Associates also shows that Trump is up significantly over Joe Biden, currently holding a six-point lead over Biden in a prospective general election in November 2024.

Echelon Insights offered additional data regarding the GOP primary, finding that Trump had a 49-point lead over DeSantis and Haley, who were tied at 12 percent of support. No other candidate rose above single digits. In a head-to-head matchup against Haley, Trump dominated with a 42-point lead.

As far as Republican donors go, news broke this week that the billionaire Koch group, Americans for Prosperity Action, had committed to supporting Haley in an effort to stifle Trump’s rocket-fueled momentum. According to The New York Times, it will give Haley access to millions of dollars in cash now that DeSantis is fading into third, fourth, and even fifth place in some states’ primary polls.

However, Haley’s rise to second place in some GOP polls comes only amid DeSantis’s fall. Trump has consistently gained points in nearly every Republican primary poll since January.

Trump explained on Truth Social, “The DeSanctimonious donors are coming to me (if I even want them, which I don’t!), not to, ‘I’ll never run against President Trump’ Haley, who was very average in every way. Just like 2016 all over again. She’s not solving Israel, Iran, Ukraine, Inflation, or anything else!”
