President Donald Trump held nothing back during his Saturday evening rally in Waco, Texas, taking a swing at the ongoing investigation at the behest of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.
He noted that he was being investigated “for something that is not a crime, not a misdemeanor, not an affair…I never liked Horseface.”
He was referencing adult film actress Stormy Daniels, who allegedly received “hush money” payments from Trump. These allegations have provided the crux for the entire investigation and rumored indictment – although the 45th president has not yet been indicted or arraigned.
“That wouldn’t be the one,” Trump joked, referring to Daniels. “There is no one, we have a great First Lady who people really do love.”
Trump also slammed Bragg’s office for being “stacked” with “DC operatives.”
“How about this?” he continued. “A guy leaves private practice representing Hillary Clinton, goes for no salary, anything, goes into the DA’s office to prosecute Donald Trump…he doesn’t get what he wants so he leaves in a huff…the book is published DURING the case.”
Trump was referencing Mark Pomerantz, who was the former Special Assistant for the district attorney for New York County.
The 45th president ripped the ongoing case as “prosecutorial misconduct” and decried the state of the nation for allowing it to continue.
“If we don’t win this next election in 2024, our country is doomed – I truly believe it’s doomed…We must stop them and we must not allow them to go through another election where they have yet another tool in their toolkit,” he concluded.
