President Donald Trump’s campaign has responded to the news of Hunter Biden’s guilty conviction on three counts related to firearm possession, calling it a “distraction” from much deeper issues.
In an official statement issued by Trump campaign National Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, she explained, “This trial has been nothing more than a distraction from the real crimes of the Biden Crime Family, which has raked in tens of millions of dollars from China, Russia and Ukraine.”
As previously reported by RSBN, Hunter Biden was convicted on three counts after a jury found him guilty in a fast-moving trial in Wilmington, Delaware, related to the alleged illegal possession of a firearm while in the midst of drug usage.
The firearm was purchased in 2018 and allegedly violated federal law when he stated on his application that he was not using drugs at the time of purchase. This was the basis for the case. He was formally charged in 2023 after the gun showed up in the possession of a homeless man who plucked it out of a trashcan.
The gun had allegedly been dumped in the trash by Hallie Biden, his older brother’s widow, and with whom Hunter had an affair.
On the heels of the verdict, Leavitt added, “Crooked Joe Biden’s reign over the Biden Family Criminal Empire is all coming to an end on November 5th, and never again will a Biden sell government access for personal profit.”
RSBN noted in a prior report that Hunter is additionally facing tax charges in California related to allegations of avoiding over $1 million and spending large chunks of cash on prostitutes, porn, and other escapades.
In response to the conviction of his son, Joe Biden released a statement to the press, in which he said he and his wife, Jill, were “proud” of him.
“Jill and I will always be there for Hunter and the rest of our family with our love and support. Nothing will ever change that,” per CBS News.
