President Donald Trump’s incoming White House chief of staff Susie Wiles sent a message to nominees telling them to stop posting on social media ahead of Senate confirmation hearings.

Wiles shared the message in an exclusive report with The New York Post on Monday.

“While this instruction has been delivered previously, I am reiterating that no member of the incoming administration or Transition speaks for the United States or the President-elect himself,” Wiles wrote in a memo.

“Accordingly, all intended nominees should refrain from any public social media posts without prior approval of the incoming White House counsel,” she added.

Senate confirmation hearings are expected to begin next week in what is expected to be a battle with Democrats.

Trump also warned Republicans against Senate Democrats that he claims will soon try “tricks” to stall the confirmation of his nominees. He shared the concerns in a Truth Social post on Tuesday morning, as RSBN previously reported.

“We just won a Historic Landslide and Mandate from the American People, but Senate Democrats are organizing to improperly stall and delay the confirmation process of many of our Great Nominees. They will try all sorts of tricks starting very soon,” he wrote.

“Republicans must not allow them to do that. We have a Country to run, and many big problems to solve, mostly created by Democrats. REPUBLICANS, BE SMART AND TOUGH!!!” Trump added.

Among those most criticized by Democrats have been former Hawaiian Democratic Rep. and presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard, who was nominated Trump to serve as director of national intelligence.

Other Trump nominees facing harsh criticism include his nominees for Defense Secretary, Pete Hegseth, and FBI Director, Kash Patel. Trump’s nomination of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to lead the Department of Health and Human Services is also expected to encounter attacks from Democrats.

The call to stop posting on social media also follows recent controversy on social media over the H1-B immigrant visa program. Elon Musk, a Trump supporter and co-leader of the newly formed Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), spoke in favor of the program, angering some of Trump’s supporters.

Musk also posted a clearer statement of his view that was then shared on Trump’s Truth Social profile Monday.

“Anyone – of any race, creed or nationality – who came to America and worked like hell to contribute to this country will forever have my respect,” Musk wrote. “America is the land of freedom and opportunity. Fight with every fiber of your being to keep it that way!”
