Trump to launch ‘TRUTH Social’ media platform by March 2022

President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday that he is launching ‘TRUTH Social,’ a free speech social media platform, in early 2022.

TRUTH Social will be the first company under Trump Media & Technology Group (“TMTG”), which has merged with Digital World Acquisition Corp. to become a publicly listed company with a potential valuation of up to $1.7 billion, a Wednesday press release from TMTG states. President Trump is the chairman of TMTG.

TRUTH Social will be a place Americans can go to freely express their thoughts without fear of leftist censorship. The app is currently available in the Apple App Store for pre-order. Future users can sign up for updates at www.truthsocial.com.

Its beta launch will begin on an invite-only basis in November, however a nationwide rollout is expected by March 2022.

Describing his decision to create the new social media platform, President Trump explained, “I created TRUTH Social and TMTG to stand up to the tyranny of Big Tech. We live in a world where the Taliban has a huge presence on Twitter, yet your favorite American President has been silenced.”

“This is unacceptable,” he added. “I am excited to send out my first TRUTH on TRUTH Social very soon.”

“TMTG was founded with a mission to give a voice to all. I’m excited to soon begin sharing my thoughts on TRUTH Social and to fight back against Big Tech. Everyone asks me why doesn’t someone stand up to Big Tech? Well, we will be soon!” the 45th president concluded.

Trump’s highly anticipated move to launch a social media platform comes after several months of hinting that he may create a competitor to Big Tech platforms or to Fake News media outlets.

And finally, he has made his move.
