The 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump, is scheduled to attend the Palmetto Bowl in South Carolina this weekend following Thanksgiving, according to a press release.

The Palmetto Bowl, also known as the Clemson vs South Carolina game, is notably one of the largest annual football games in South Carolina between the two notorious rival schools. The game has been held annually since 1896 and was “the longest continuous non-conference rivalry in the nation” prior to COVID-19, according to the bowl’s website.

Trump will be attending on Saturday, Nov. 25, at the Williams-Brice Stadium, arriving at 7:30 p.m. ET for the kickoff start.

The former president has attended various football games this year, including his recent appearance at the University of Iowa versus Iowa State University game in early September.

South Carolina is notably home to former governor and presidential candidate Nikki Haley. However, Trump has dominated the state’s poll numbers, standing firm at 52 percent, with Haley falling in second place at 17 percent, according to a November 2023 Winthrop poll.

“Donald Trump remains the top choice of South Carolina Republican registered voters for the Republican Party presidential nomination among the narrowing field of contenders. With just over three months until the GOP Presidential Primary, the former president retains the majority of Republican support at 52%,” the poll states.
