President Donald Trump is preparing to issue pardons for reality television stars Todd and Julie Chrisley, known for their show “Chrisley Knows Best.”

The couple was convicted in 2022 on charges including bank fraud and tax evasion, after submitting falsified documents to secure more than $30 million in loans from banks around Atlanta. Prosecutors alleged the Chrisleys used the funds to support a life filled with luxury vehicles, high-end fashion and expensive real estate, while evading tax obligations and ultimately abandoning repayment when Todd Chrisley filed for bankruptcy, leaving over $20 million in debts.

Todd received a 12-year federal sentence, and Julie was sentenced to seven years. They were also ordered to pay $17.8 million in restitution.

“Your parents are going to be free and clean and I hope that we can do it by tomorrow,” Trump told their daughter, Savannah Chrisley, during a phone call captured in a video shared online Tuesday by a White House aide. The aide accompanied the post with the phrase, “Trump Knows Best!”

“They’ve been given a pretty harsh treatment based on what I’m hearing,” Trump added in the same conversation.

Their daughter, Savannah Chrisley, posted a video to Instagram following the call with the president.

“So, both of my parents are coming home tonight or tomorrow and I still don’t believe it’s real!” she said.

“Thank you, thank you, thank you and I will repay your kindness to every person that I meet, so thank God for a president like Donald J. Trump. Thank you, God, for a president who wants to restore families and loves people … and took the time to call me from the Oval Office to let me know my parents are getting their lives back,” she added.

The potential pardons continue Trump’s pattern of granting clemency to public figures and supporters. Just a day earlier, Trump pardoned former Virginia sheriff Scott Jenkins. Trump criticized the case as another example of a “Corrupt and Weaponized Biden DOJ.”

“Sheriff Scott Jenkins, his wife Patricia, and their family have been dragged through HELL by a Corrupt and Weaponized Biden DOJ. In fact, during his trial, when Sheriff Jenkins tried to offer exculpatory evidence to support himself, the Biden Judge, Robert Ballou, refused to allow it, shut him down, and then went on a tirade,” Trump posted to Truth Social on Monday.
