The campaign feud between President Donald J. Trump and Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., has come to an end after President Trump announced that he will no longer use the nickname “Ron DeSanctimonious” to refer to the Florida governor.

Speaking to a fired-up crowd of supporters during an on-the-road stop at the Team Trump Manchester Headquarters in New Hampshire on Sunday afternoon, President Trump told RSBN host Matthew Alvarez, “You said, ‘Will I be using the name Ron DeSanctimonious?’ I said, ‘That name is officially RETIRED.'”

The crowd roared in approval of the 45th president’s show of civility toward his former 2024 presidential primary opponent.

President Trump’s remarks came just hours after DeSantis publicly announced that he was exiting from the primary race in a video posted on X, where he gave his full endorsement to the 45th president.

“It’s clear to me that a majority of Republican primary voters want to give Donald Trump another chance,” said the governor.

Setting his pride aside, DeSantis said that despite his “disagreements with Donald Trump,” naming issues surrounding his handling of the COVID-19 response, the 45th president “is superior to the current incumbent Joe Biden. That is clear.”

Discussing his promise to support whoever becomes the Republican nominee, DeSantis said he would “honor” his pledge and endorse Trump over the “old Republican guard of ‘yester-year.’”

President Trump quickly responded to the news, telling Fox News Digital he was “very honored to have his endorsement. I look forward to working together with him to beat Joe Biden, who is the worst and most corrupt president in the history of our country.”
