Trump touts $92 billion investment in Pennsylvania energy and AI at celebratory roundtable

President Donald Trump participated on Tuesday in a roundtable event at the Pennsylvania Energy & Innovation Summit, announcing a whopping $92 billion investment from 20 leading tech companies that will benefit the Keystone State.

“This is a really triumphant day for the people of the Commonwealth and for the United States of America,” Trump said.

The president was flanked by cabinet members and other critical players in the energy game, including Pennsylvania Senator Dave McCormick (R), U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, and U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick.

“We’re doing things that nobody thought possible,” Trump remarked, speaking about the multi-billion-dollar investment in the Keystone State.

“Today’s commitments are ensuring that the future is going to be designed, built, and made right here in Pennsylvania, right here in Pittsburgh – and I have to say, right here in the United States of America,” the president said proudly.

According to the Associated Press, some of these investments include expanding natural gas pipelines, renovating or upgrading power plants, and building AI and data center infrastructure in a rapidly evolving tech-driven world.

Preceding the president’s remarks, Sen. McCormick praised President Trump’s leadership and vision, calling the moment “historic.”

“Your visit and your leadership has catalyzed $90 billion of investment in energy and AI revolution in Pennsylvania,” he said. “Your presence, and those commitments showcase Pennsylvania’s story to the world.”

According to Sen. McCormick, some notable investments in this package include:

  • $25 billion from Blackstone,
  • $3 billion from Brookfield,
  • $5 billion from Energy Capital Partners,
  • $15 billion from First Energy,
  • PlGoogle inked a 20 year partnership with Brookfield to repower two hydropower facilities,
  • And investments from companies like Meta, GE Vernova, and TC Energy, among others.
