Weighing in on Tuesday night’s election results, President Trump celebrated his solid endorsement record in a post on Truth Social in the early morning hours on Wednesday.
“174 wins and 9 losses, A GREAT EVENING, and the Fake News Media, together with their partner in crime, the Democrats, are doing everything possible to play it down,” he wrote. “Amazing job by some really fantastic candidates!”
The 45th president’s comments came just a few hours after he gave a short and sweet five-minute speech at a watch party held at Mar-a-Lago, his estate in Palm Beach, Florida.
Although many of Tuesday night’s elections have yet to be called as counting rolls over into Wednesday, Trump has reaffirmed his confidence in his role as the “kingmaker” in the GOP.
The 2022 midterm elections have solidified the changing tides in the GOP toward the America First movement in victories such as Wyoming’s Harriet Hageman, who solidified Liz Cheney’s exit from Congress, North Carolina’s Rep. Ted Budd who will advance to the U.S. Senate, and Ohio’s JD Vance, a political outsider who will also take his seat in the U.S. Senate.
Which party will control the House of Representatives, U.S. Senate, and majority of governorships remains unclear. Nonetheless, Trump’s unmistakable endorsement influence with voters sends a powerful message to the D.C. establishment that his movement is strong and energized like never before.
