President Donald Trump recently touted his strong poll numbers against Joe Biden and all prospective Republican challengers.
In a post on Truth Social, he stated:
“Doing great in poll numbers. Leading all Republicans by a lot, also leading Biden by a very wide margin, which means that our weaponized Injustice Department, local D.A.’s, and Attorney Generals, will step up their illegal and unprecedented attacks in order to disparage me with false ‘bull….’ and statements in the hope that I will be damaged enough to allow a RINO, or Biden, to ‘slip through the cracks.’ But be careful, the American people get it, and don’t like what they are seeing. MAGA!!!”
Recent polls show President Trump as the clear favorite to win the Republican nomination. According to Newsweek, a recent Morning Consult poll reflected that 48 percent of those surveyed supported President Trump, while a separate McLaughlin & Associates poll had him at 43 percent and well ahead of all prospective challengers. According to Reuters, citing a new Reuters/Ipsos public opinion poll, “Trump received support from 43 percent of registered Republicans in the Feb. 6-13 poll, while 31% said they supported Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and just 4% picked former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley.”
Joe Biden doesn’t fare much better. According to The Hill, a recent Emmerson College poll gave President Trump a three-point lead over Biden in a hypothetical rematch. More particularly, 44 percent of those polled indicated that they would support President Trump, while 41 percent would support Biden.
Despite the various investigations surrounding President Trump, he continues to garner tremendous support. Just recently, Senator Markwayne Mullin, R-Okla, strongly praised and endorsed President Trump. In a tweet, Mullin called President Trump the “strongest president in my lifetime” and further noted, “In just four years, President Trump delivered great results for the American people. He lowered taxes, secured American energy independence, protected our Second Amendment, and never backed down from the radical Left threatening our way of life.”
