President Donald J. Trump encouraged his supporters to vote Republican “up and down the line” at a Save America rally Sunday in Mesa, Arizona.
Contending that Democrats will turn the United States into a “third world country,” Trump advised, “On Nov. 8, Arizona can reject this miserable fate for our nation by delivering a clean sweep of every statewide office for the Republican Party.”
Adding that Arizona is “a proud red state,” the 45th president urged voters to prove it at the ballot box on Election Day.
Last week, a Monmouth University poll found that Republicans are currently leading Democrats by 10 points ahead of the upcoming midterm elections, and a recent ABC/Washington Post poll indicated that Republicans hold a significant lead in competitive House district races.
Further, the fact that another poll from NBC News/Telemundo showed the GOP has been steadily gaining support among Latino voters – a key voting bloc in Arizona – could spell trouble for Democrats in the Grand Canyon State come November.
Sunday’s event marked Trump’s second rally this weekend, following his stop in Minden, Nevada, on Saturday.
