President Donald Trump warned Tuesday that the United States would suffer consequences due to the Biden administration’s dramatic shift in border policy.

Under the Biden administration, illegal crossings at the southern border have skyrocketed, causing concern among Americans across the nation. With the increase in illegal immigration under Joe Biden’s open border policies, border states have struggled to address issues with drug cartels, human trafficking, and other criminal activity.

“Just two years ago we had the strongest, most secure, and safest Southern Border in American History,” Trump stated. “Now we have the weakest and most dangerous Border anywhere in the World. We are being INVADED & overrun by millions and millions of people from parts unknown.”

Trump warned that the United States is becoming a “laughing stock” on the world stage as “some of the world’s worst criminals and DRUGS” continue to flood the southern border. Trump also claimed that at least 10 million people had entered the United States under the Biden administration. “Our Country has gone MAD,” he said.

Former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley shared troubling statistics from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection U.S. Department of Homeland Security Tuesday as the Biden administration prepares to end Title 42 border security enforcement. Title 42 was initiated under the Trump administration to prevent illegal immigrants from seeking “asylum” in the United States during the Covid-19 pandemic. Biden is pushing to end the Title 42 restrictions, which analysts believe will rapidly increase illegal border crossings.

According to the statistics shared by Haley, only 460,000 border crossings were reported under the Trump administration in 2020. In 2021, that number increased to 1.7 million crossings, followed by 2.3 million crossings this year. Without Title 42, border crossings are expected to rise to 5.6 million in 2023.

With the increase in illegal immigration and the ongoing southern border crisis, Trump reminded Americans Tuesday of the danger of open border policies and the importance of border security. Reflecting on his administration’s border policy achievements, Trump explained how the Biden administration has reversed his policies and “destroyed” the country.

“The USA will be paying a very big price, perhaps the biggest price of all, because of what is being allowed to happen at our Southern Border, which just two years ago was the most secure, by far, in history,” he said. “I built hundreds of miles of desperately needed WALL, was able to get 28,000 Mexican Soldiers (free!) to guard the Border, and created, and got approved, the incredible STAY IN MEXICO POLICY. Now it has all gone to ‘dust,’ our Country is rapidly being destroyed.”

Biden’s Homeland Security Secretary, Alejandro Mayorkas, recently acknowledged the “challenge” of the southern border after previously claiming the U.S. had a secure border.

“The entire hemisphere is suffering a migration crisis,” he said. “We are seeing an unprecedented movement of people from country to country.”

However, while Mayorkas was willing to admit the country faces a “significant challenge” with the southern border, he argued, “It is not restricted to the southern border.”

As previously reported by RSBN, the Republican State Leadership Committee also shared a statement earlier this month about the worsening issues at the southern border. The committee described the situation as a “massive humanitarian crisis” that has resulted from “the failure of the Biden administration and Democrats, who don’t seem to care who enters our country.”
