Nothing will stop President Trump from campaigning in the great state of Georgia, and next week, he will head to Atlanta to headline an event to raise money for his 2024 presidential bid.
According to the Atlantic Journal-Constitution, Trump will visit Atlanta, Georgia, on Wednesday, April 10, where he will attend a luncheon with other Republican allies to drum up more donations and support among state GOP leaders.
Although it is unclear where the event will be held, other notable attendees include former Republican U.S. Senators Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue. Also included is Bernie Marcus, the co-founder of Home Depot.
Prices to attend the event are steep, with an entry fee per couple of $6,600. Photo opportunities with the president are listed for $25,000 for each couple. The fundraiser will likely pull in a hefty haul for Trump’s campaign in the Peach State, especially amidst the recent drama with Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who is spearheading a RICO election case against Trump.
As previously reported by RSBN, Willis was nearly disqualified from overseeing the RICO case amid serious allegations of financially benefitting by appointing her lover as the prosecutor to go after Trump in the case. Ultimately, Willis was allowed to continue leading the case as long as her former boyfriend, Nathan Wade, stepped aside.
Now, another motion has been filed by Trump and his co-defendants in the case, seeking to disqualify Willis based upon the judge’s own words, which stated that there was an “odor of mendacity” that permeated Willis’s actions as DA.
A fundraiser in the heart of Atlanta is almost poetic, considering the drama unfolding in Fulton County, which resulted in President Trump’s now-famous mugshot last summer.
Per the Georgia Recorder, Trump reportedly used at least half of every dollar donated to this campaign during the final months of 2023 to pay for his legal defense amidst his ongoing court battles.
