It has been months since the Russia-Ukraine war began in February of this year, and if it were up to President Trump, this war would be long over.
On Feb. 24, 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine and started a war that has seen many countries sending their support in the form of finance and weapons, including the U.S. According to the Daily Caller, the U.S. has sent over $100 billion in aid as well as weaponry.
However, the Biden administration’s response to the war has many questioning their competence. RSBN reported what President Trump said about Biden’s response at a Club 45 event in Florida. President Trump said, “Putin would have never got into Ukraine if I were president.”
President Trump also explained what he would have done in response instead. He said, “I would literally start calling not from the day I took over, but from the night I won, and I would call two people.”
Now, the latest move from Biden’s administration is a plan to send thousands of U.S. troops to military operations across Europe to aid Ukraine.
Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, called out this decision on Twitter. RSBN reported what he wrote, “Biden’s weakness started this war & now he’s threatening to put our military in a shooting war with Russia.”
According to the Daily Caller, President Trump told Fox News that he would directly tell Putin and Zelenskyy to end the war.
He explained, “As you know, I get along very well with Putin. I would tell Putin, you’ve got to settle. I would tell Zelenskyy, you’ve got to settle. I would get a settlement in 24 hours.”
Now, under Biden’s administration, many Americans are left worried about an escalation of war if U.S. troops are sent to Ukraine. Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., said, “The Biden administration is sleepwalking our great country into a World War.”
