President Trump masterfully corrected wild speculations over the last 24 hours regarding Qatar’s offer to gift a Boeing 747 to the Defense Department.

Ahead of his Monday morning executive order event to lower the price of prescription drugs for Americans, the 47th president addressed the matter on Truth Social.

“So the fact that the Defense Department is getting a GIFT, FREE OF CHARGE, of a 747 aircraft to replace the 40 year old Air Force One, temporarily, in a very public and transparent transaction, so bothers the Crooked Democrats that they insist we pay, TOP DOLLAR, for the plane. Anybody can do that! The Dems are World Class Losers!!! MAGA,” he wrote.

When taking questions from the media on Monday morning during the EO event, Trump told the press, “We’re very disappointed that it’s taking Boeing so long to build a new Air Force One. You know, we have an Air Force One that’s 40 years old.”

He pointed out how airplanes from Arab countries look like they are “from a different planet” compared to American planes. He reminded the press of his negotiations during his first term to decrease the cost of building the new Air Force One, but said Biden’s team “made change orders that were so stupid, so ridiculous,” and that a lot of the work was not completed.

He called Qatar’s offer “a very nice gesture,” and said he would “never be one to turn down that kind of an offer.”

Trump noted that the plane would eventually be decommissioned and potentially placed in his presidential library, just as it did for President Ronald Reagan. He added that the plane made Reagan’s library “more successful.”

A reporter from ABC News asked President Trump, “What do you say to people who view that luxury jet as a personal gift to you. Why not leave it behind?”

Trump sharply responded, “You’re ABC Fake News, right? … You should be embarrassed asking that question. They’re giving us a free jet. I could say no, no, no… I want to pay you a billion or $400 million or whatever it is, or I could say thank you very much.”

The reporter pressed back, this time labeling the plane as a gift to him, to which he responded, “It’s not a gift to me, it’s a gift to the Department of Defense, and you should know better.”
