President Donald Trump is at his best when he is moving and shaking among the working-class people of America, and his latest visit to a Chick-fil-A restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia, is proof that he has maintained his popularity among a diverse demographic of Americans.
On Wednesday, Trump’s visit to Chick-fil-A was wedged between his arrival in the Peach State and a fundraiser in the heart of the city, where his campaign raised millions of dollars for his reelection bid.
Trump posed for photos with patrons and supporters inside the fast-food establishment, cracking jokes, ordering 30 milkshakes, and asking the staff if they were making a lot of money. He even joked with RSBN’s Brian Glenn that Chick-fil-A was making “the Lord’s chicken.”
One woman enthusiastically declared, “I don’t care what the media tells you, Mr. Trump, we support you!”
Trump responded by giving the woman a hug, resulting in a warm and picturesque moment on the 2024 campaign trail that Joe Biden would be hard-pressed to duplicate.
Trump’s overwhelming support in Atlanta is a strong indication and a reminder of just how broadly supported the 45th president is by the electorate, whether it’s in Georgia or in the heart of Ohio.
Preceding his visit to Chick-fil-A, Trump stated at the airport that he was doing “GREAT in the polls” and slammed Biden as the “worst president in the history of our country – he’s CORRUPT.”
In Georgia, Trump is indeed polling ahead of Joe Biden. Polymarket’s famous forecast has predicted Trump has an 18-point advantage over Biden in the state, foreshadowing a likely Republican victory there in the general election.
Trump is also leading in national polling against Biden, holding a six-point lead over his Democrat opponent, via recent data from ActiVote.
President Trump has many strengths as an American leader, but perhaps his most meaningful one is his ability to talk to everyday workers, mothers, teachers, mechanics, and small business owners.
His grassroots campaigning is one of his most impactful tools for reaching the populist heart of the United States, and the excitement voters show upon meeting him is a demonstration of his electoral strength headed into November’s anticipated election.
