The warning signs have been there for years. At first, many Americans did not believe that modern-day far-left Democrats opposed this country and what it stood for. They did not believe that they were on a mission to destroy the United States and to transform it into a nation where laws don’t matter or exist and where Democrats literally “rule” over the people.
Given what has transpired in recent years, and culminating with the recent indictment of President Donald Trump, this conclusion is no longer in doubt.
Democrats take aim at the economy, guns, and the border
Initially, far-left Democrats proposed ideas and policies that threatened to bankrupt or ruin the nation financially, such as universal healthcare, the Green New Deal, killing the nation’s energy sector, and imposing higher taxes.
Democrats also issued calls to defund our nation’s police departments, which contributed to lawlessness, higher crime, incivility, and turmoil.
They also took issue with bail while various left-wing prosecutors refused to prosecute certain crimes and let various criminals run free. Along these same lines, many Democrats called to restrict, or eliminate, Americans’ Second Amendment rights. For example, Joe Biden just recently renewed calls to ban assault weapons.
The Democrats’ war on America did not stop there. Rather, many Democrats also supported Biden’s treacherous and dangerous open border policies, which have made the country much less safe and a haven for criminals, illegals, and others with possible nefarious intent.
Democrats have pushed these policies and, in doing so, have knowingly disregarded the Constitution and applicable laws.
Democrats focus on the courts, judiciary, and the nation’s justice system
Tangentially, Democrats have also utilized the law and the courts as a weapon against those who threaten their agenda for complete and unfettered power and control. For example, Democrats (i.e., the DOJ) have prosecuted various individuals allegedly involved in the Jan. 6 riot, at least one of which was imprisoned (only to be released after evidence was discovered that exonerated him).
They have selectively pursued charges against individuals aligned, or associated with, Trump. They have also selectively prosecuted Republicans and conservatives for alleged “crimes,” yet turned a blind eye when Democrats engaged in identical (or oftentimes, worse) behavior.
To date, for example, Joe Biden and Hunter Biden remain unscathed.
Most recently, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg filed charges under seal against Trump presumably relating to hush money payments allegedly made to Stormy Daniels. While a myriad of people previously reviewed the evidence and refused to pursue charges, Bragg did not hesitate to do so.
As reported by Fox News:
“Federal prosecutors in the Southern District of New York opted out of charging Trump related to the Daniels payment in 2019, even as former Trump attorney Michael Cohen implicated him as part of his plea deal. The FEC also tossed its investigation into the matter in 2021.”
It is no coincidence that charges were filed in Manhattan, where it is virtually certain that Trump cannot get a fair trial. Along these same lines, Trump is also being investigated by Fulton County district attorney Fani T. Willis, also a Democrat. This has been the Democrats’ modus operandi all along: pick the person, find or create a possible crime, and pick the venue where conviction is most likely.
Trump pushes back
Trump recently spoke out against the recent indictment and the Democrats’ obsession to bring him down.
As reported by Fox News, in a statement, Trump said:
“This is Political Persecution and Election Interference at the highest level in history. From the time I came down the golden escalator at Trump Tower, and even before I was sworn in as your President of the United States, the Radical Left Democrats- the enemy of the hard-working men and women of this country- have been engaged in a Witch-Hunt to destroy the Make America Great Again Movement.
You remember it just like I do: Russia, Russia, Russia; the Mueller Hoax; Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine; Impeachment Hoax 1; Impeachment Hoax 2; the illegal and unconstitutional Mar-a-Lago raid; and now this.
The Democrats have lied, cheated and stolen in their obsession with trying to ‘Get Trump,’ but now they’ve done the unthinkable—indicting a completely innocent person in an act of blatant Election Interference. Never before in our Nation’s history has this been done.”
Trump is not wrong. The Democrats have been obsessed with bringing him down. During the process, they have also destroyed America. As reported by the New York Post, Trump referred to the United States as “a Nation in Decline.” Trump further stated, “We are now living in a THIRD WORLD COUNTRY, but we will Come Back & MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
For everyone’s sake, Trump better be right.
