President Trump’s peace deal between Israel and Gaza secures the release of Israeli hostages and earns praise from leaders around the world.

On Wednesday night, President Trump announced that Israel and Hamas agreed to the first phase of a peace deal that will see all hostages freed and that Israeli troops will withdraw from most of Gaza. ABC News reported that he wrote on Social media, “This means that ALL of the Hostages will be released very soon, and Israel will withdraw their Troops to an agreed upon line as the first steps toward a Strong, Durable, and Everlasting Peace. All Parties will be treated fairly!” Trump said in a statement posted on social media.”

It’s been just over two years since the horrific attacks on October 7, and Breitbart reported on Israeli President Isaac Herzog praising President Trump for this deal on X:

“This is a morning of historic and momentous news. I wish to extend my deepest thanks to President Donald Trump for his incredible leadership toward securing the release of the hostages, bringing an end to the war, and creating hope for a new reality in the Middle East.”

Herzog also added that President Trump should be awarded a Nobel Peace Prize, saying, “There is no doubt that he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for this. Should he visit us in the coming days, he will be received with immense respect, affection, and gratitude by the people of Israel.”

Under the first phase of President Trump’s peace deal, Hamas will return the estimated 48 hostages that are remaining, with some possibly returning as early as Monday. Al Jazeera reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also commended President Trump for the historic deal, saying, “I offer my heartfelt thanks to President Trump and his team for their dedication to this sacred mission of freeing our hostages.”

Breitbart reported that Herzog said that this deal “will bring moments of indescribable relief to the dear families who have not slept for 733 days. This agreement offers a chance to mend, to heal, and to open a new horizon of hope for our region.”
