President Donald Trump took to his Truth Social account on Sunday to report the latest fundraising totals for his campaign and related committees, noting massive moment as the campaign counts down just over three months until the election.
The update noted a total of $139 million in July and $327 million cash on hand.
“There has never been anything like the MAGA Movement. We raised $139 Million Dollars in July alone. We now have a whopping $327 Million Cash On Hand. Spectacular support from Great American Patriots who are donating to our Campaign for President of the United States, and helping out in many other ways,” Trump wrote.
“Much work to be done, but I will always keep fighting for YOU. Our Country is failing, but we will turn it around, quickly, and MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” he added.
Donations may have increased following the response by supporters after an assassination attempt on Trump during his Butler, Pennsylvania, rally on July 13. He also announced JD Vance as his running mate and was officially declared the Republican presidential nominee in July during the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.
The announcement comes after raising nearly $112 million in June according to the Trump campaign. In May, the campaign raises a reported $127 million.
Democrats have noted that the total is smaller than donations raised for the campaign of Vice President Kamala Harris. Her team raised $200 million in the first week following President Joe Biden’s announcement that he was ending his reelection bid and supporting Harris.
The battle will continue to unfold as Harris becomes the official nominee and names her running mate this month. She is also expected to debate Trump ahead of the election, with Trump accepting a September date on Fox News, while Harris has proposed a debate on ABC News.
Trump proposed a debate in Pennsylvania before a full stadium audience in an Aug. 2 post on Truth Social.
I have agreed with FoxNews to debate Kamala Harris on Wednesday, September 4th. The Debate was previously scheduled against Sleepy Joe Biden on ABC, but has been terminated in that Biden will no longer be a participant, and I am in litigation against ABC Network and George Slopadopoulos, thereby creating a conflict of interest,” Trump wrote.
“The FoxNews Debate will be held in the Great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, at a site in an area to be determined. The Moderators of the Debate will be Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum, and the Rules will be similar to the Rules of my Debate with Sleepy Joe, who has been treated horribly by his Party – BUT WITH A FULL ARENA…” he stated.
